How remote registration works
- We prepare the documents in English and Chinese: articles of association, appointment letters and the application forms.
- You sign at home. Your parent company’s documents are notarised and apostilled locally.
- We file the name reservation and registration with the local SAMR bureau on your behalf.
- Bank accounts: many banks now verify the legal representative by video call.
Documents that need an apostille
- Certificate of incorporation of the parent company (or the investor’s passport)
- Board resolution approving the investment, if the investor is a company
- Power of attorney for the filing
If your country isn’t a member of the Apostille Convention, the documents are legalised at the Chinese embassy or consulate instead, which usually takes longer.

Frequently asked questions
What is an apostille?
A certificate that makes a public document from one Apostille Convention country valid in another. China joined the convention in November 2023, so documents from member countries no longer need consular legalisation at a Chinese embassy.
Is there anything that does need a visit?
Occasionally a bank insists on meeting the legal representative in person, or the legal representative needs to collect the company's digital certificates. We tell you at the start if your bank or district is likely to require it, and plan the visit to be as short as possible.
