Frequently asked questions
Can I work in China on a business (M) visa?
No. An M visa allows business visits such as meetings and trade fairs, not employment. Working without a work permit risks fines and deportation for the employee and penalties for the company.
What are the A, B and C categories?
Applicants are graded by qualifications, salary and experience. Category A covers high-level talent and gets the fastest processing; most professionals fall into category B; category C covers temporary and quota-based roles.
